So as people have just gotten accustomed to writing 2011 at the end of their dates, and as Carnival begins to kick into high gear, make sure and put Sunday FEBRUARY 27 in your calendar...........

De Season is here...Folks the 2011 Rally Stages Championship is back in full force. The date strategically placed the weekend after Panorama semis and the weekend before thousands head into Port of Spain to play Carnival. So the mood will definitely be a festive one. Rezan Mohammed (Shell / Vigourade Mitsubishi Colt) will be defending his 2010 2WD top honours and TTRC Club Championship as he will be running against returning Jamaican Bobby Marshall - his biggest rival last season. 2011 also sees the now all too familiar Shell Helix / Intercontinental Mitsubishi Evo IX of John Powell back to try to take Group N for another season. He will be joined by a host of 4WD Group N and A cars making 2011 another record year for local entries. Bajan Harold Morley will be making a bid for the TTRC 2011 Championship as well opting to race his Subaru N14 Impreza Group N 4WD car for the entire year in Trinidad and Tobago. 2011 will also see a few new faces as the TTRC welcomes a  freshly built Suzuki Swift, a Ford Fiesta, and a classic Subie all driven by new drivers.

So make Feb 27 a date to be in the Southland at Cedar Hill for the first High Speed Stages event for 2011. When las yuh take ah wine on a sout' stage?
